Since we ran out of time during our adult fireside on Sept. 8th, it was decided that we needed to schedule a 2nd meeting to continue our discussion. September 29, 2024, our 5th Sunday of this month, was chosen as the date for our Special Adult Fireside, Part 2. We ask that all adults meet in the cultural hall during the 2nd hour of church except for those working in Primary since they will be preparing for the Primary sacrament meeting program. The contents of the original email sent out by Bishop Reider outlining the topic of our discussion is below.

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Palmina Park Ward,

I invite all adults to attend a special ward fireside on Sunday, September 8th, during 2nd hour of church.

The topic will be a discussion on how we as a ward, as parents, grandparents, and teachers of youth are going to strengthen our children and prepare them to be true disciples of Christ. We will discuss how to prepare them to receive additional covenants, prepare for missions and their temple endowments.

I ask that all adults attend this meeting regardless of whether you have children in your home or not. I ask that we all spend some time to reflect on the question, what can I do to help support the youth of the ward and/or the children in my home or circle of influence?

I believe that we can all support one another in our efforts to prepare our children for life and for true discipleship. I believe that through our preparation, the youth will be prepared emotionally, mentally, socially, financially, and spiritually, while the world continues to foster so much doubt, fear, and sin.

It is my hope and prayer that ALL of us, including our youth, find joy in this life. That we find the full joy that comes through living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Due to the nature of the discussion, I ask that only adults attend.

Thank you for all that you do.

Love,
Bishop Jason Reider

-Declare to the bishop their status as tithe payers.
